  The vehicle detector is mainly composed of transmitting and receiving sensor, processor and communication interface, etc.

  1) Microwave emission and receiving probe is to launch the frequency of 24.0 to 24.25 GHz microwave signal and microwave signal reflected.

  2) Processor is to deal with signals from the probe, and upload after processing the data through the communication interface to the monitoring center or stored locally.

  3) Communication interface is used for data upload and support the ethernet interface, RS232 port, RS485 ports.

Working Principle:


  The vehicle detector is developed based on the Doppler Effect, by launching an average working frequency of 24.0 to 24.25 GHz of continuous microwave frequency modulation in the test road, falls a width of 3-4 meters (in the direction of the vehicle), length of 76 m microwave band (perpendicular to the direction of traffic).

  Whenever vehicles through the microwave falls area, reflecting a microwave signal to the detector, detector receives the reflected microwave signals, and calculate & receive the change of frequency and time parameters for models, share information, traffic flowrate and average speed.

Performance Characteristics:

  1) The non-invasive road detector, by using the basis of the principle of microwave, installation by the side, through detecting real-time detection results, compared with the coil, video, and other measurement methods, has not damaged the road, blocking traffic, all-weather work, installation and maintenance is not affected by the environment, etc.

  2) All-weather work period: unlike other traffic detection technology, its adopted 1 centimeter wave length of microwave, it is not affected by rain, hail and snow, and available to realize all-weather work.

  3) Accurate identification capability: even if the vehicles have up to 50% part is blocked by the barrier can be identified.

  4) Shock: unlike other depending on the perspective of detector, microwave detector has 0.6 meters lane distance resolution, therefore it will not be installed column shaking and error of the impact, some error also belongs to a system error.
